At Batter Up by Riya, we believe in giving back to our community and beyond. That's why we're proud to support organizations like NCBI (National Coalition Building Institute), dedicated to fostering diversity and equity in educational institutions and communities nationwide. By donating a portion of our proceeds, we're helping empower college campuses, community organizations, schools, and more to create inclusive environments where everyone feels valued and welcomed.
In addition to local initiatives, we also extend our support globally. Through "Baking for Ukraine", we collaborated with bakers from the DMV area to assemble care packages filled with homemade treats for those affected by the crisis in Ukraine. It's our way of spreading comfort and solidarity across borders, one delicious bite at a time.
Furthermore, we're passionate about nurturing the next generation of changemakers through baking. As the President of Community Service for Sayva, a nonprofit teen-led organization, we organized and coordinated a cookie baking event for over 200 teens and kids. These cookies weren't just baked with love; they were a symbol of our commitment to serving others. By partnering with Seva Truck, a nonprofit dedicated to providing fresh, nutritious meals to local communities in need, we were able to share the joy of baking and the spirit of service with those who need it most.
